IT Technical Lead - Equities Investment Banking - Sydney CBD

A new role has developed to be a Technical Lead on a major project for a leading bank within their Equities trading team.

The bank is going through a large replacement of core Front Office systems and this role will involve building interfaces to the new system from the Back Office.

The successful candidate will develop and lead a team to deliver software and business solutions required to integrate the third party product into the business. This is a very hands on leadership position.

The environment is fully Microsoft and includes .NET and SQL Server.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Managing deliveries within the technical streams of the project
  • Application design - producing detailed preliminary design
  • Quality Control - the review of code to deliver quality assurance and compliance
  • Team management - leading a team of up to 4, planning resource and managing workload
Required experience:
  • 5+ years in Software Development
  • 3+ years team leading experience in Systems Analysis and Design
  • Detailed understanding of the .NET framework
  • Working in a financial environment is essential, specifically exposure to Equity Trading or Risk Management
  • Knowledge of working in a Matrix environment, where various stakeholders need to be satisfied - it is essential that you have experience of working in a large complex organisation
